Gabby Young & Other Animals, Chief, and Apples confirmed for Orchard Stage E-mail

An update with a distinctly indie feel here, as we’re pleased to announce that rising stars of the scene: Gabby Young & Other Animals, Chief, and Apples are all confirmed for this year’s festival.

Gabby Young and her Other Animals look set to light up the Orchard Stage with their flamboyant, jazz-edged tales from last year’s critically acclaimed debut album ‘We’re All In This Together’. One reviewer in the past has described her as “Howling mad and completely irresistible”…we think she’s going to like it here. Check out the typically intriguing video for the album's title-track below.

Next up, hotly tipped Californian quartet Chief travel all the way from the US west coast to join us this year for an anticipated first UK festival appearance. Making waves on the other side of the Atlantic with their brand of ethereal and melodic indie-rock (à la US bedfellows Local Natives) catch these boys in the intimate surrounds of the Nozstock farm before they’re lost to the big arena’s as predicted.

Finally - looking a little closer to home - local band Apples will make the short journey to centre stage at Nozstock ‘10. Off the back of an appearance at Barcelona’s Faraday Festival, expect a triumphant mini-homecoming for the fast rising indie-pop five-piece.

A pretty juicy start we think you’ll agree. Keep your eyes peeled for more announcements in the coming weeks.
